Don L. DeVoe, Ph.D. |
Don DeVoe, Ph.D., co-founder, brings over 15 years of experience in the development of microscale bioanalytical technologies. After receiving his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. DeVoe joined the faculty at the University of Maryland, College Park, where he is presently an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, with an affiliate position in the Department of Bioengineering. In 2000 he was recognized by the National Science Foundation as a recipient of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers for significant contributions in the field of microsystems technology.

Robert L. Hirsch, Ph.D. |
A biopharmaceutical executive, Dr. Hirsch has advanced through senior corporate positions in medical affairs and clinical research. During seven years with MedImmune, he played a key role in the company’s growth and establishment as one of a select group of profitable biotechnology companies with several marketed products. As VP of medical affairs, he managed the planning and implementation of Phase IV development for all marketed products and directed medical support for all marketing activities. Prior to joining MedImmune, Dr. Hirsch spent 12 years with the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, including serving as senior director of clinical development for the company’s Immunobiology Research Institute. With a Ph.D. in immunology from Georgetown University, Dr. Hirsch was a faculty member at Johns Hopkins and the the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He has authored and published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles.
