Director of Business Development

Calibrant Biosystems is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead the company's partnership and contract research activities. The successful applicant will have demonstrate experience in establishing and maintaining commercial partnerships in a CRO environment, with an appropriate scientific background in a relevant field such as proteomics, biomarker development, or drug discovery.

The Director of Business Development will present Calibrant services to new accounts and promote new business opportunities at existing accounts with the objective of establishing long term, mutually beneficial partnerships. He or she will be expected to:

• Establish a predictable and repeatable Business Development Model
• Achieve revenue goals through proactive sales activity, referral based networking and marketing of Calibrant services to existing and new accounts.
• Design, develop and implement individual, regional, and national account strategies that incorporate the CRO industry profile with Calibrant service offering.
• Develop marketing and communications strategies for Calibrant CRO activities
• Conduct comprehensive presentations of Calibrant services.
• Lead the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities for the company
• Cultivate long-term relationships with key decision makers across biotech, pharma, and beyond.

Requirements

• BS or BA in business, life sciences or other scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5 years industry experience in business development.
• Knowledge of the clinical development process.
• Prior CRO experience with contacts in biotech or pharma a strong plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, team building and networking skills are critical.
