Bioinformatics &mdash Interpreting Proteomics Data bioinformatics tools that translates proteomics data to full biology at a glance The proper interpretation of large scale proteomics data is a critical task. Identified proteins must be analyzed for functional involvement in metabolic and signaling pathways and cellular functions and processes. Our bioinformatics pipeline enables quick comparison and interpretation of complex data sets to extract comprehensive biological annotations and foster effective disease diagnosis and drug development. For proteomic analyses performed using Gemini™ and well as other separations coupled with mass spectrometry, Calibrant provides its customers with detailed reports including protein identifications, together with the number of distinct peptides identified and absolute quantification ratio (AQR) for each protein. Calibrant's standard reports also provide gene ontology (GO) annotation, with typically greater than 80% of proteins annotated by protein name, gene name, amino acid, transmembrane domains, cellular components where protein is localized, molecular function, and biological processes. Network analysis is also available for customers interested in evaluating complex interactions between identified proteins in the context of biological networks and pathways.
